16% of children in Uganda have a disability. Their rights are frequently violated due to poverty, stigma and lack of specialised care in rural communities.

Our partner, mothers2mothers offer psychosocial support and health education to these families to help them know that being disabled is not the end of life.

With the Swarovski Foundation's support, 70+ Mentor Mothers in Uganda have been making sure that children with disabilities are no longer left behind.

Delina is a 4-year old child supported by the mothers2mothers program. She was born with a physical disability and her grandmother Margret was told she would never walk again. Watch her incredible story below.
