The Swarovski Foundation was set up in 2013 to honor the philanthropic spirit of Daniel Swarovski, and supports charities and initiatives in three areas of focus: culture & creativityhuman empowerment, and environment. Our work reflects the founding values of Swarovski, a family business built on innovation, care and to bring light to people’s lives. All grants are subject to assessment to ensure alignment to our values, code of conduct and the strategic objectives of the Swarovski Foundation.

Cancer Aid Tyrol

Cancer Aid Tyrol promotes cancer research projects, and provides counselling services and information on detection and prevention methods for people in the Tyrol region of Austria. The Swarovski Foundation's support enables the organization to provide free psycho-oncological counselling and therapy for patients and family members, alongside the Cancer Aid Hotline.

Centre for London

Centre for London is a think-tank and charity dedicated to making London a fair city. With the Swarovski Foundation's support, Centre for London published a report, ‘Culture Club: Social mobility in the creative and cultural industries’ which explores the barriers young people face to getting jobs and training in the creative sector, and identifies ways to ensure the industry benefits from the city’s diversity of talent.

MediCinema

MediCinema is a UK-wide charity that uses cinema to provide support for patients in hospitals and in care. The charity believes that everyone should have access to culture, with the art of film being a proven way to improve patient wellbeing. MediCinema provides ‘cinematherapy’ and a place for patients and families to escape the isolation of illness while staying close to their medical care. The Swarovski Foundation supports its MediCinemas at Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospitals in London.

Palais de Tokyo

Palais de Tokyo is a modern and contemporary art museum in Paris with a mission to promote emerging creative talents. Its partnership with the Swarovski Foundation provides two artists with the opportunity to reimagine the museum’s Païpe space – a place for free expression and creation. Through this partnership, the Foundation supports access to the arts across several cultural and technological disciplines.

Orchid Project

Orchid Project aims to end the practice of Female Genital Cutting (FGC). The Swarovski Foundation supports its work with Maasai and Samburu communities in Kenya to end FGC through non-directive, human-rights led approaches such as traditional song, storytelling and educational workshops.

Cherie Blair Foundation

The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women enables female entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries to access the skills, technology, networks and financial services they need to turn thriving enterprises into sustainable businesses. Through entrepreneurship, it empowers women take control of their lives and create a route towards financial independence. The Swarovski Foundation supports its work in Maharashtra state in India, helping women there to become more competitive entrepreneurs and have a stronger voice in their societies.
